Located at an altitude of 2860m, Lao Than peak is considered the roof of Y Ty with a fairy scene when clouds, sun and wind blend together, when the terraced fields are still green despite the harsh weather . . The Lao Than trekking route is relatively simple, even first-timers can conquer it easily. Because the terrain is mainly low grass hills, the distance is short, there is little to climb, and the scenery is extremely magical with each layer of densely stacked clouds, covering the whole mountain.
Lao Than’s “specialty” is rattan. The experience of hunting clouds and watching the sunrise on top of Lao Than is the most interesting part of this climb. Because the top of the mountain has a super-wide, super-wide view angle, plus a prime location known as the “roof” of Y Ty, the probability of meeting the sea of clouds is extremely large. That’s why Wild Adventure Vietnam still calls Lao Than “Island in the sky” with villages in the clouds.
