Tour Schedule

  • 18:00: Leader picks you up at the bus office at My Dinh bus station, gets on the sleeper bus to Muong Te.
  • Those who register to go from Muong Te will be refunded the round trip Hanoi – Muong Te at market price.
  • 05:30: The group arrives at Muong Te, does personal hygiene, prepares luggage. After that, the group has breakfast.
  • 06:30: The group departs for Pa Ve Su border post.
  • 08:30: Arrive at Pa Ve Su, the group waits to register for temporary residence with the border post.
  • 10:00: Arrive at the hydroelectric lake, the group receives trekking equipment, briefs, and warms up a bit before trekking.
  • The group will sit on the raft for ~10 minutes, then start trekking.
  • 11:00: The group has lunch and rests.
  • 12:00: Dessert after lunch is a steep slope, ~2km,
  • 14:00: Arrive at the La Hu Ong Ba Gia hut, mountain climbers call it “Ong Gia hut”.
  • 18:00: Arrive at the campsite, the group lights a fire to cook rice and spend the night here.
  • The campsite now has shelters but the quality is quite low. Only meets basic needs of eating/sleeping/resting.
  • Everyone will leave unnecessary items at the camp, only bring valuables, flashlights, ~2L of water and energy food (kitkat, gel, candy, salt tablets…).
    Today’s journey is very long so the group needs to depart early.
  • The group will go to the top along the old forest road and the return trip after the 42nd mark will be more kilometer.
  • 03:00: The group wakes up, does personal hygiene and has breakfast to depart before 03:30.
  • The group needs to leave early to enter the old forest before the sun rises to avoid losing strength and dehydration.
  • 04:00: Along the way to the top ~8 hours. The terrain is quite diverse from grass hills, old forests, bamboo forests and Rhododendrons, moss and lichens all over the way to the top.
  • About 11:30: The group reaches the top of PuSiLung. Take souvenir photos. The group has lunch here with rice balls, sesame salt, pork floss and fried chicken.
  • 12:30: The group retreats towards marker 42.
  • 15:00: Reaches border marker 42 – the second highest marker in Vietnam along the entire border.
  • About 18:00: The group will return to the campsite.
  • The group lights up the campsite, holds a party to celebrate conquering the peak currently considered the most difficult in Vietnam.
  • 06:00: The group wakes up, does personal hygiene, has breakfast, and packs up personal belongings.
  • 06:30: The group retreats to the “Old Man and Old Woman” hut.
  • 11:00: Returns to the forest gate, takes a raft to the hydroelectric lake, and moves to Muong Te.
  • 12:30: The group checks in to rest, showers, and then has lunch.
  • Depending on the bus schedule, the group will return at 18:00 or 19:00
  • The bus is expected to arrive at My Dinh station at around 06:00 the next morning. At the end of the program, Wild Adventure Team thanks you and looks forward to seeing you again on the next trip.

Tools to prepare

  • 45-seat sleeper bus from Hanoi to Muong Te.
  • Transportation to the trekking point.
  • Nutritious meals throughout the journey. Including the final party meal.
  • Food provides enough nutrients and energy for climbers.
  • Drinking water: 800ml bottles distributed from the beginning (Water is replenished on the trek)
  • Porter carries the group’s belongings and porter carries your personal belongings (each person ~5kg).
  • Staying hut on the mountain.
  • Standard Travel Insurance (50,000,000 VND/person/case)
  • Mountain climbing equipment includes: Raincoat, gloves, headlamp, snacks, trekking stick, 800ml personal water bottle (collected at the end of the tour).
  • * NOTE: Those who register to go from Muong Te will be refunded the Hanoi – Muong Te transfer fee according to the market price.

You need to prepare

  • Trekking shoes (high-top shoes are best) provide a comfortable feeling, hug the feet, have good grip on the sole, and are waterproof.
  • Note: Shoes should be chosen 1 size larger than normal for comfortable feet. In addition, you should trim your toenails before the trip to avoid problems with your toes.
  • Clothes for 3 days and 2 night on the mountain:
  • 2 long pants (preferably quick-drying pants) and 1 long-sleeved shirt (preferably a thin windbreaker) to wear while trekking.
  • 2-3 T-shirts (depending on the number of days of the tour).
  • Thick, warm jacket. To wear at night when staying at the hut.
  • 1 sweater or super thin down jacket to wear when sleeping.
  • 1 pair of honeycomb slippers to use at the Resting Hut.
  • Scarf: wool scarves are not recommended, you should use a cloth scarf or a bandana so that if they get wet, they can be easily dried.
  • 3-5 pairs of high, thick socks (do not use low-cut socks).
  • Personal items: mosquito repellent, sunglasses, hat, camera, underwear, toiletries.
  • Heat pads: 2-3 pieces (depending on the number of days of the tour).
  • Personal medicine.
  • Identification documents: ID card/Citizen ID card/Passport.

FAQs

The Tour Guide (HDV - or Leader) is the person responsible for all issues and the process of your tour. This is the person who will take care of the group, take care of the group from the smallest things and take you to the most interesting tourist destinations. Wild Adventure's tour guides are all experienced people, knowledgeable about trekking routes, know and guide you thoroughly through the process and techniques when climbing mountains.

Wild Adventure's tour guides are funny, friendly, knowledgeable, take beautiful photos, and have a practice card. However, to ensure the safety of the trip, the tour guide will have the right to refuse to serve, accept or retain any member of the group at any time.

Because the trekking process is very difficult, overcoming complex terrain, you must comply with the trekking regulations and listen to the tour guide's instructions. If during the trekking process there are unfavorable conditions such as weather or factors related to safety, documents, local authorities, the tour guide will have the right to rely on his experience to postpone or change the tour schedule to best suit the customer.

Porters are local people who are familiar with the terrain of the trekking route, the climate, and the culture of the land where they will be trekking.

In addition, they are people in good health and during the trekking process will be responsible for guiding the way, carrying the luggage of the whole group according to the instructions of the tour guide.

In addition, porters are also the people who go at the beginning and end of the tour, cook and assist you during the trekking process. Wild Adventure has paid for the porters.

On average, there will be one porter for every 3 customers.

During the process of trekking a mountain peak, there will be many problems and difficulties. This requires you to strictly follow the safety regulations and listen to the Leader's instructions.

However, to ensure your rights and increase your responsibility, you will have to sign a voluntary participation form before the trip. This is a commitment to comply with the trekking rules and help you be responsible for yourself during your trekking process.

In case of tour cancellation, you will be subject to the following cancellation penalties:

100% refund of tour fee in case the tour is canceled due to insufficient participants to organize (with consultation with customers).

From 10 days - 15 days before departure time: 30% of tour price.

From 07 days - 05 days before departure time: 50% of tour price.

From 05 days before departure time: 100% of tour price.

In addition, 50% of tour price will be refunded if canceled within 3 days before departure due to unforeseen factors such as natural disasters, epidemics, politics ...

Most of the current trekking routes in Vietnam have fully equipped rest camps with blankets and convenient insulation. For areas without rest camps, Wild Adventure will prepare tents, sleeping bags, and insulation bags for you, ensuring that everyone is fully cared for and safe.

Wild Adventure has separate tour programs for groups and individuals according to customer requests. Therefore, if you want to organize a private tour for a group, we are always ready, regardless of the number of guests.

The tour price will depend on the number of participants and the individual requests of the guests.

Wild Adventure's trekking tours usually prioritize tours of 12 - 14 people or less. If the number of people exceeds the above number, we will send additional guides to serve the group.

Depending on the mountain peaks and different times, the weather on trekking tours will be different. Usually in the summer, the early morning temperature on the mountain will be 10-15°C and during trekking it will be around 15 - 22°C. In winter, the temperature will drop quite sharply, at least 3-4°C compared to summer.

We will assist with picking up customers at the airport for most tours. However, you should notify in advance and follow the tour departure time to avoid missing the schedule.
